Amelia Brandt, MSW, MPH, is pursuing her DrPH in Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her research focuses on rumor trends during emergencies and organizational responses to rumors. She is also currently a Senior Research Coordinator at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Prior to starting her graduate studies, Amelia managed international health programs in Latin America and the Caribbean and participated in the Ebola Virus Disease response in Sierra Leone. Amelia earned her dual MSW/MPH from Washington University and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bethel College.
